CHIP Enrollment Fair Tool Kit
As we are sure you are already aware,
the number of uninsured children in Utah has reached an alarming proportion.
However, we are fortunate to live in a state that recognizes the importance of public health insurance programs, like CHIP,
for getting kids the health coverage they need. In fact, the Utah State Legislature and Governor Huntsman have led
the charge in eliminating the red tape that would prevent kids from enrolling in CHIP.
For the first time in
many years, CHIP enrollment is open and will remain open allowing all children who are eligible to sign-up. This is
a wonderful time to get kids into CHIP.
However, kids cannot enroll themselves in these programs. It is up to us to make sure families have the information necessary to enroll their children.
This tool kit contains many things organizations may need to host an enrollment fair. In this Enrollment Fair Tool Kit, you will find:
Kids deserve access to health coverage 365 days a year. As you help children in your area enroll in public health
insurance programs, like CHIP, you join in an effort to ensure that all of Utah’s children have an equal chance to
grow up and be healthy, strong, and productive citizens.
